Environmental Sampling of Soil and Groundwater focuses on collecting samples for specific analysis based on a known or suspected environmental condition, or to investigate the specific geotechnical parameters associated with the lithology of a property. 

Soil is typically sampled using hand auger, drilling rigs as per the quantities required for laboratory analysis. Groundwater samples are typically collected from the discharge line of a pump or from a bailer, either from the pour stream of an up-turned bailer or from the stream from a bottom-emptying device. The soil or groundwater samples are collected in air sealed bags, glass or HDPE containers and collected while wearing vinyl gloves or similar. The samples are kept in cold box and transported to the laboratory for further assessment.
